How to Reset the Low Tire Pressure Light on a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero.

This is a pretty easy DIY project and if you don't want to waste the cash to take your car in to a mechanic and pay for something you can do your self.

First off if you get the indicator on the dash that your tire pressure is low. Make sure you air up your tires to the specified pressure imprinted on either the side of the tire or the door panel (Drivers side door there is a plate or a sticker that tells you the manufacture's suggested pressure for stock tires)

After ensuring all 4 tires are at the proper pressure (you can follow the Video sorry about the quality and lighting ... cell phone camera and not the best time of day)

Turn the key to acc (ignition switch to on) ... do not start the Alero.

Locate the Fuse panel on the drivers side... You will need to leave the Door open to access the panel.

In the middle of the panel on the Alero there is a reset button.

Press that once and the Change Oil Light will blink on the Alero's Dash.

Press the reset button once more and the Low Tire Pressure Light will start to flash.

Press and Hold the reset button till you hear 5 beeps and you will notice the Low Pressure Light will be on solid.

Press the Reset button one more time and the Low Tire Pressure indicator will go out.

Start the Alero and take pride in the Fact that you did it your self.

If the indicator does come back on either you do not have your tires properly inflated or you may have a problem with the pressure sensors in one of your tires and this would require a trip to either the Dealership or to your friendly mechanic.
